Hello. my name is Sandy Farney. I am the CEO and founder of the Thea Embracing Oasis Foundation (TEO). I have been very fortunate and blessed to have been able to speak into many young women's lives for the last number of years being a 'house mom" at a transitional home for woman. Throughout my life I have had a heart for women and their children being a single mother myself and I understand the significant challenges that women face in today's society. From domestic violence, economical instability, and lack of shelter options.These circumstances often lead to a cycle of hardship, vulnerability, and despair. Many women are left with limited resources and support networks, making it difficult to escape their situation and move toward a positive future.
The need for a 'women with children' shelter that is long term with continual support is needed in Lethbridge and the need is great.
My mission for TEO is to empower women with children by providing a safe and nurturing environment that will facilitate healing and safety.
